Listen On Insight Timer

The Mind Orchestra is an evolving body of work exploring sound not simply as something to listen to, but as a way of becoming more present, more attentive and more deeply connected to ourselves and the world around us. My work brings together more than twenty-five years of music-making with sound healing, mantra, contemplative listening, voice, breath, Druidic practice and Vajrayana Buddhist influences. Some pieces are very simple: a few minutes of humming, listening or sounding designed to help you arrive, ground yourself or shift your state. Others unfold as immersive journeys through mantra, field recordings, ambient composition, spatial audio, plant music, rhythm, resonance and carefully tuned frequency-based sound. Across all of them runs the same thread: listening itself can become a practice.

I am building a growing library of these practices on Insight Timer, where you can explore everything from short grounding and focus practices to deep listening meditations, mantra recitations, sacred voice, sleep and relaxation journeys, Druid-inspired contemplative work and longer immersive soundscapes. Rather than creating generic background meditation music, I approach each piece as a musician, sound healer and practitioner, paying close attention to the relationship between sound, silence, space, rhythm, breath and awareness. Sometimes the practice asks you to make a sound yourself. Sometimes it asks you simply to listen. Sometimes the sound becomes a landscape you can rest inside.

Following The Mind Orchestra on Insight Timer gives you a simple place to stay connected with this expanding collection as new recordings and practices are released. You can follow whatever doorway speaks to you most strongly: mantra and sacred voice, deep listening, grounding and relaxation, contemplative music, immersive sound journeys, nature recordings or experimental approaches to sound and frequency. You do not need any previous experience, specialist knowledge or particular spiritual background. You can begin with one short practice, put on headphones, close your eyes if that feels comfortable, and notice what changes when you give sound your full attention.

I see these recordings less as finished objects and more as invitations. They are ways of tuning the instrument of your own being, noticing how attention moves, feeling resonance in the body and rediscovering the extraordinary depth that can exist inside something as simple as a breath, a hum, a mantra, a distant bell or a few moments of genuine listening. If that approach to meditation and sound resonates with you, visit my Insight Timer teacher page, explore the growing library and follow The Mind Orchestra so that new practices, meditations and sound journeys can continue to find their way to you.
